Artist Statement

I create jewelry that reflects the natural forms and textures of the Pacific Northwest. Each stone — whether Agate, Fluorite, Jasper, or Moonstone — guides the wire wrapping process rather than conforming to it. My goal is to showcase what the earth has already made beautiful.

Roots

Grouse Mountain Gems began with weekends spent exploring Stevens County’s backroads and riverbeds. What started as a fascination with raw stone evolved into a full-time practice centered on ethical sourcing and sustainable artistry.

Philosophy

I believe jewelry should feel personal — a connection between maker, material, and wearer. Each piece is one-of-a-kind; when it’s gone, it’s gone.
